"R&B Junkie" is the fourth single from Janet Jackson's 2004 album, Damita Jo. Written by Jackson, Tony "Prof T" Tolbert, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the track was released as the album's fourth and final single on December 30, 2004.

Background and releaseEdit

The song was reported to be the follow-up to "All Nite (Don't Stop)", and appeared as a B-side to a promo vinyl single of the latter. It contains a sample of Evelyn King's 1981 song "I'm in Love", written by Michael Jones and Nicholas Trevisick. After the physical single was canceled, it was only released as promo single and to Urban AC radio stations. Although being released to a reported thirty-three urban AC stations in the US, it failed to chart on any main Billboard charts, but did peak at number one on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles, after the release of Damita Jo. In addition, several promotional remixes of the song were released or surfaced online. No music video was filmed for the single.
